Went to see football today! If I remember correctly, the last time I went to see a match at a stadium was in A Coruña, Spain, in 2005 =P Although Real Oviedo lost (VS Huesca 0:1), I found the atmosphere entertaining. Thanks María, my conversation partner, for inviting and explaining me what’s going on =)

Believe it or not, Real Oviedo actually has over 1000 supporters from Mainland China. The Honorary President of the Chinese Oviedista Fan Club, Jian Miao, and his girlfriend have come from Vancouver, Canada, to watch the match, hence my friend and I were invited to the box seats.

We have made dinner plan with these Chinese supporters, but unfortunately they decided not to go last minute. It’s their lost, since three of us laughed to the point that they cried, and all the waiters were teasing us. The restaurant, La Corte de Pelayo, is famous for a typical Asturian dish – Cachopo – which is two layers of veal fillet stuffed with cheese and Spanish jam, crusted and deep fried. It is kind of similar to gordon blu.

Our dinner reservation was at 10 p.m. and the food didn’t come till 11:30 p.m.; by the time we left the restaurant, it was 1:20 a.m. Now I am living on Spaniard time.
